Human Resource Strategy
Like so many industries in Alberta, Community Disability Services has been faced with a workforce shortage in recent years. In response to this issue, a group of provincial stakeholders assembled in late 2005 and developed the Human Resource Strategy, a comprehensive, long-range initiative that will effect industry-wide changes and make Community Disability Services a great career choice. This website, a full blown recruitment campaign, and encouraging agencies to adopt practices and programs, such as the Employer of Choice, are just a few of the steps that are currently being taken.
